Mr. Deepak Prakash Baskota, Executive Chairman, National Cooperative Federation, Nepal and Mr. Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, Vice Chairman, N. E. Group (Industrial & Trading House), Kathmandu, Nepal, visited Mother Dairy, Gandhinagar and Anand between August 20 and August 22, 2008. They had come on a study visit and were keen to learn about the Amul model. They visited Amul Dairy Plant and Museum, Amul Chocolate Factory, Cattle feed Plant at Kanjari, Amul Research & Development Association, Ode and a Village Dairy Cooperative Society. On August 21, they came to GCMMF, and held wide ranging discussions with Shri B. M. Vyas, Managing Director, GCMMF and Shri Rahul Kumar, Managing Director, Kaira Distt. Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd.

According to them the visit was fruitful and informative.
