Ms. Norbiha Kosmuri and Mr. Yusri Tarip from the Cooperative College of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur visited Anand and Gandhinagar between July 09 and July 12, 2008, to study the Amul model, to develop a historical case study on the cooperative which could be used in the training programmes conducted by CCM. They were briefed extensively on the formation of the Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. and the working of the Amul model. During the study tour they visited Amul Dairy & Museum, Amul Research & Development Association, Ode, Cattle Feed Plant, Kanjari, Cheese Plant at Khatraj, Mother Dairy, Gandhinagar, Chocolate Plant, Mogar, Institute of Rural Management, Vidya Dairy and a Village Dairy Co-operative Society.

On the last of their visit they met the Managing Director, GCMMF, Shri B. M. Vyas and thanked him for helping them in their study tour. They felt that the visit had been very fruitful and instructive and would help them tremendously in making the case study.
